Amanda Everard is President of Everard Auctions and Appraisals which sells Fine Art, Antiques and Collectibles in quarterly online auctions. She and her husband founded the Savannah, GA based auction house in 2003.
Prior to starting her own business Mrs. Everard was a Vice President in the English Furniture Department at Sotheby's in New York. During her 11 years at Sotheby's she was also a coordinator in the Trust and Estate Department and Head of the Arcade Furniture Department. Amanda has more than 25 years of experience in the antique, fine art and collectibles fields.
Mrs. Everard has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History and Studio Art from Trinity College in Hartford, CT. She is a Colonial Dame and serves on the board of the Andrew Low House as well as the Owens-Thomas House in Savannah. Mrs. Everard is a licensed auctioneer and conducts a number of charity auctions each year which have included the Savannah Music Festival and Senior Citizens Inc.
Mrs. Everard is a member of Attingham, a society that studies the English country house. A specialist in English furniture and decorative arts, she frequently lectures and writes about the subject, as well as other popular collecting categories. She has been a featured speaker at many historical societies and antique shows as well as the American Society of Appraisers annual conference.
