Brent Lewis is a Vice President and Senior Specialist of 20th Century Decorative Art and Design at Christie's, New York. He has spent over a decade in the auction business, working with both East and West Coast firms as a specialist and auctioneer.
Prior to joining Christie's, Mr. Lewis was the Head of Design at artnet, and previously the Gallery Director of Moss, New York. Working directly with curators and collectors, he has placed works in important private and museum collections.
Mr. Lewis often speaks and writes on the subjects of art and design and has appeared in such publications as The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The New York Observer, Creative Review, and the Maine Antiques Digest among others. He is a contributor to artnet, MODERN and Whitewall magazines and has recently published articles on Robert Wilson, Gaetano Pesce, Thomas Stearns, Kiki and Joost and Michele De Lucchi. In addition, he has appeared on NBC's Nightline and TV Tokyo. Mr. Lewis holds a BA degree in Theatre Arts and lives in New York with his wife Jacqueline, an Art Historian and Curator of the UBS Art Collection, and their son Elliot.
